New Art in Larkhill Park - March 2009
In 2008 two beech trees in Larkhill Park had to be cut down as their roots were diseased. Parts of the trunks were kept on the park and in March 2009 Chris Frankland Tree Services moved them to the site adjacent to the Larkhill Community Centre. On Saturday 7 March Tim Burgess commenced carving the Owl and later carved the pussycat in the pea green boat and also the three bears with their bowl of porridge.

Unveiling of the New Acoustic Panels by Gordon Burns
Gordon Burns of BBC Manchester accepted our invitation to unveil new panels which we have installed to improve the acoustics in the Main Hall. The lovely artwork on the panels, which symbolises the activities of each of our user Groups, was designed and carried out by students of the Altrincham College of Art as part of their GCSE projects.
